Our treasured home, Turks & Caicos Islands, has just been named among the “Top 10 Islands in the Caribbean & Atlantic” in the Condé Nast Traveler 2013 Readers’ Choice Awards.

To be featured in the Awards, readers review their favorite hotels, resorts, airlines, cities, cruises and islands around the world. Islands are rated based on several categories, such as friendliness, lodging, scenery and beaches.

This year close to 80,000 readers participated in the survey, more than ever before. Condé Nast Traveler applauds voters for praising “quality where it thrives, and find(ing) it where it emerges.”

Turks and Caicos certainly radiates quality, and this is not the first time the islands have been recognized in the Readers’ Choice Awards. The destination also ranked high on the list last year. Readers of the magazine describe the islands as “exquisitely clean and unspoiled” with “crystal blue waters” and “white powder sand.”
