On Your Mark

This year marked the third annual “Sea”ster Hunt at The Somerset on Grace Bay. To prepare for the holiday event, younger guests of our Caicos Kids Club spent the week prior painting egg-shaped ocean rocks to design the “Easter eggs” used for the hunt.

Get Set

Also preparing for the big day were repeat resort guests and two-time “Sea”ster Hunt winners, the Ellison’s. Since the inaugural “Sea”ster Hunt event in 2012, the Ellison family has returned to The Somerset from their home in New York with hopes to re-claim the winning title.

Go!

On the morning of the event, the colorful eggs were hurled into the turquoise waters of Grace Bay and followed by eager resort participants hoping to retrieve the most eggs. There were nine families who traveled to The Somerset for the Easter holiday, the biggest “Sea”ster Hunt turnout yet!

And the winner is …

After a bit of swimming, splashing and lots of cheering, the official count was made. For the third year in a row, the Ellison’s won the Hunt and took home a beautiful conch trophy created by local artist Standford Hendfield. The permanent trophy remains in the reception area of our resort and will soon bear the Ellison’s name for the third year running.
