From Beginner to Expert

With a little time and dedication you could go from beginner to expert and become an International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO) Level 3 rider on your next vacation. And if you already kiteboard, but are looking to get more enjoyment out of the sport, we can help.

The Somerset on Grace Bay has teamed up with Turks and Caicos Kiteboarding (TCK), the #1 Kiteboarding School on the island to help you achieve your dream. As a guest of The Somerset you will receive exclusive discounts on your professional training.

Similar to SCUBA certification, the International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO) Certification program provides all certified persons with an IKO Kiteboarder card that can be presented anywhere internationally to prove your kiteboarding level for future lessons and kiteboarding equipment rental.

Kiteboarding Packages

Kite Mudder (3-½ hours)

$350 per person

This introductory course consists of an introductory land lesson including wind theory, practice with the trainer kite, safety, setup, launching the big inflatable kite and safe landing technique.  You will then go straight into the water to practice with the big kites and work on kite handling skills.

It should be noted that after such a short introduction to the sport you would likely not be at a level where it would be safe to practice on your own after afterwards.

If you wish to continue taking lessons, you can join either of the IKO Certification Packages below, having already completed Day 1.
