Bone Fishing Caribbean Resort Hotel on the Turks and Caicos

Bonefishing addicts and novices need not go to the over fished waters of the Bahamas Bonefishing flats.. Fly fishing for bonefish in the Bahamas need not be the only choice, when here on the Caribbean are Bonefish flats that beat the Bahamas for setting and opportunity.

The Turks and Caicos Islands' Caribbean bonefish population is one of the largest in the Caribbean.

Turquoise, shimmering water with endless, gleaming white coral flats are home to the mighty Turks and Caicos Caribbean bonefish - the silent ghost, the mighty bonefish, the grey ghost of the sand flats.

On our island, Providenciales, bonefishing flats are designated in "miles". We have 90 miles of bone fish flats around Providenciales. Our guests can cast over several flats in an afternoon - wading the crystal water, casting before the ghosts flats. Here on the Providenciales, there is no absolute need for a guide. It is just a short drive form our hotel to the bonefish flats on the island's south side.

Our waters are un-fished compared to other destinations - such as the Bahamas . The bonefish here are not as easily spooked by the presence of a boat.

Fly fishing - Caribbean Bonefish - Turks and Caicos Style

"Feet in the powdery sand, knees high in turquoise. Nothing, nothing around. Just bonefish down there as grey washes in the watercolor of this sand flat. My sand flat. The trade winds ruffle the line, the water, the mirror. Everywhere are grey tones in the flat turquoise stone around my knees . Mirages. Hope. Cast a long slow loop behind that grey, that one there. The cast that I'd worked on so hard in the suburban lawn plays out sweetly. Yes."

"Tonight, my kids and husband will find out the truth about their Mom."
